Referrals and Admissions Information

When do students join Altus School?

Referrals come to us via the local authority and can be made for:
 
  • Placement following a Permanent Exclusion
  • Child in Care Protocol placements
  • Exceptional circumstances which is agreed at an Exceptional Circumstances Panel.  Referrals are made by professionals working with children and families, and are not taken directly from parents/ carers.
School referrals following a Permanent Exclusion
 
Schools who have taken the decision to permanently exclude a pupil residing in Gloucestershire should complete an online referral form which can be found here: 1. PEX Commissioned Place - Alternative Provision Referral Form – Gloucestershire Forms

Places at the Altus School are commissioned by the Local Authority.  Details of the school's commissioning agreement can be read below.
