School Meals

As a healthy school we encourage our pupils to understand the importance of eating a balanced diet, which includes plenty of fresh food. We discourage any chocolate, fizzy drinks, sweets and crisps etc. at our sites. Should a pupil bring these to school they will be encouraged to hand these in and we will return them to the pupil at the end of the day.

The Altus School provides a healthy lunch and snack for all of our pupils. All of our centres also provide the option of breakfast. The school bears the cost of these meals and offers them free of charge to the pupils.

If you are in receipt of certain benefits your child may be eligible for a Pupil Premium. Please inform us if you think your child is eligible at your child's induction meeting.

All Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 pupils are entitled to a school meal free of charge every day under the government Universal Free School Meals initiative.
