The Altus School provides a healthy lunch and snack for all of our pupils. All of our centres also provide the option of breakfast. The school bears the cost of these meals and offers them free of charge to the pupils.
If you are in receipt of certain benefits your child may be eligible for a free school meal. Please inform us if you think your child is eligible at your child's induction meeting.
All Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 pupils are entitled to a school meal free of charge every day under the government Universal Free School Meals initiative.
Information about Free School Meals from Gloucestershire County Council can found here: Free School Meals
Our good quality, home cooked meals are prepared and cooked from scratch by our amazing and talented students. As a school, we use the Eatwell Guide to inform us about offering well-balanced and nutritious meals on our menu. The students decide what meal they want to cook and each group prepare and cook for the whole school, once a week. They look forward to cooking for others, serving to present their food attractively and enjoy eating together, around a table, sharing stories with students and staff alike.
